Attorney S. Kato Crews Elected to Board of Colorado Humanities

The law firm of Rothgerber Johnson & Lyons LLP is proud to announce that partner S. Kato Crews has been elected to the Board of Directors of Colorado Humanities, a nonprofit organization that supports the humanities and cultural diversity of Colorado.

Colorado Humanities convenes literary, cultural. and historical programs for the people of Colorado. Its mission is to inspire the people of Colorado to explore ideas and to appreciate their diverse cultural heritage. Passing on the knowledge of the past, the inspiration of the present, and the hope for the future, they envision a Colorado that celebrates its heritage and its diversity through reading, embracing cultural activities, participating in critical discussions, and listening, teaching and learning. Colorado Humanities strives to bring the humanities to life in Colorado and to assist communities, families, individuals, and especially the youth, to apply the humanities in their everyday lives.

Mr. Crews is a litigator who has represented clients in court in a range of legal disputes. Recognized in Super Lawyers Magazine as a 2010 and 2009 Colorado Rising Star in the areas of employment and labor law, Mr. Crews has particular experience defending employers in connection with various employment-related claims, advising employers in matters involving workforce management, and representing employers in labor disputes involving unions and the National Labor Relations Board. Mr. Crews also routinely represents construction professionals, developers, and owners in construction defect matters and mechanic's lien foreclosure actions.

Mr. Crews graduated from the University of Arizona College of Law, and the University of Northern Colorado, where he received the Future Black Leader and Achiever Award.
