Rothgerber Johnson & Lyons LLP is pleased to announce that Trey Rogers has been appointed by Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, Jr. to represent District 1 (the City and County of Denver) on the Colorado Transportation Commission for a term expiring June 30, 2013.
The Transportation Commission is comprised of 11 commissioners who represent specific districts. The duties of the Commission are to advise and make recommendations to the Governor and the General Assembly on general policy with respect to the management, construction, and maintenance of public highways and other transportation systems in the state. The Commission also promulgates and adopts the Colorado Department of Transportation's budgets and programs, including construction priorities.
Trey Rogers' practice is focused on public law and government relations. He has significant experience in local and national politics and assists clients on public policy development, regulatory and legislative solutions, election law, campaign finance, and governmental strategies.
Mr. Rogers is the former chief legal counsel for Governor Ritter's Office. He was named one of the Denver Business Journal's 40 under 40 for 2006, and was listed in the 2007 edition of "Best Lawyers in America®" in the Government Relations Law category. He is also a graduate of the 2002-03 class of the Denver Metro Chamber Foundation's Leadership Denver Program. Mr. Rogers received his Juris Doctor, with Honors, from George Washington University National Law Center and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Real Estate, cum laude, from the University of Colorado.
